“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-13

This probably is one of the most popular wedding readings. Patsy and Brad made me stop and think about this verse on their wedding day. They truly showed this type of love to each other in every way possible. It was a joy to be a part of their wedding day and get to know them just a little bit more.

Wedding Make Up – Go for the Glow

Your dress, your hairstyle and the time of your wedding should all be factors in your makeup choice. If you are having a retro inspired wedding, focus on your lips. A daytime, outdoor wedding might call for a light, fresh, rosy glow, while an evening ceremony might inspire a sexier, smoky-eye and bronze checks. Take your cues from all the planning you’ve already done. You also don’t want to stray too far from your everyday make up choices.

Regardless of the look you have chosen, every bride should be glowing on her wedding day; you’re no exception. Try to let your natural beauty shine through and avoid “caked-on” makeup. Your makeup will have to be a bit heavier than everyday so the cameras can be your friend and not your enemy.

Best tip of all: Do what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin!

Gorgeous Up Do’s

I personally love the “messy” up do with a hair accessory. You can find a ton of great handmade hair accessories on easy.com. I wore my hair in the half up do because that was my grooms ONLY request. My husband loves my hair down.  I was very happy with the outcome, but I am not going to lie I do still have a little wedding day hair envy from these photos.
